CSR Fonden is a non-profit organization with the mission to promote sustainability and social responsibility nationally and globally.
CSR Fonden was founded to raise awareness about sustainability challenges, dilemmas and achievements that companies are facing today, and to promote and reward innovation in sustainability.
CSR AWARDS is a two-day annual conference on CSR that seeks to bring the newest practices and knowledge of CSR to the table and for delegates to learn from leaders and key-note speakers.
The first day of the conference ends with a grand award show that celebrates the most sustainable actors in Denmark and abroad. The nominees for the prizes range from small to large companies and organizations and show a new diversity of the CSR landscape in Denmark and globally. The key focus of CSR AWARDS is to enhance the visibility of CSR and at the same time disseminate good practices and exchange knowledge among attendees. The conference is organized with several smaller conferences (side-events) running simultaneously hosted by our partners and organized according to this year’s theme “The Future Businesses and the Future Markets”. The idea behind the theme is that sustainability is an inevitably part of businesses in the future and that future markets and consumers are highly run by a sustainability agenda. CSR Fonden wants to prime companies and give them the right tools, insights and inspiration to start or further their transition.
The conference is organized according to four tracks: Climate and Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Global, and a Multi-disciplinary track (e.g. Reporting and communication). Participants can then seek the inspiration they need from speakers in plenum and by choosing the side-events that will provide them with the tools they need to prepare their own business for the future.
CSR Awards has been a success since the start due to all our partners and inspirational speakers that help form the event. The feedback from the participants has been very positive each year with last year’s evaluation stating that 94% will come back again and that CSR Awards is a place where professionalism and objectivity is paramount and the learning outcome high.
The last two years’ CSR Awards have seen important knowledge-sharing due to keynotes such as Nobel Prize winner Al Gore, President Bill Clinton, Secretary General Kofi Annan, RIO+20 ambassador Sha Zukang, Professor Daniel Kammen, CSR Honor Award winner Paul Polman and among others Danish ministers and CEOs.CSR Fonden is a platform for companies and organizations wanting to communicate tools, information and cases about modern corporate social responsibility, also called CSR.
CSR Fonden provides visibility to the work of others and its activities supplement the work done by Danish companies, universities, the public sector and the media, both nationally as well as internationally. The fundamental idea behind the work of CSR Fonden is that CSR work should be seen as a process towards greater accountability, not simply an end-result. CSR Fonden finds that there are many positive cases to share and that these hard-earned business experiences could be useful to many other companies and inspires them to work with CSR. CSR Fonden believes that these positive stories rarely get the spotlight that they rightly deserve, resulting in society
missing out on important knowledge-sharing. Therefore, CSR Fonden works to create new and more effective forms of communication to share experiences.
The prime activity is the CSR AWARDS, which are a two-day conference and an award show that celebrates the most sustainable actors in the business community.
Nominees for the prizes range from small to large companies and show a new diversity of CSR landscape in Denmark and globally.
